Pacing For The Cure is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization that initially focused on helping individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) obtain financial assistance for medical equipment and services to manage this debilitating disease of the central nervous system. Additionally, the organization supports cutting-edge MS research. Over the years, Pacing For The Cure has expanded its mission to also assist individuals living with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS), Cerebral Palsy, and Parkinson’s Disease. These neurological conditions share overlapping and distinct symptoms such as muscle weakness and spasms, tremors, fatigue, difficulty with coordination and balance, and potential problems with walking. Pacing For The Cure provides typical assistance for individuals in financial need, including:
- Medical Equipment: scooters, wheelchairs, lift chairs, hoyer lifts
- Medical Services: copays for treatments and therapies
Jeff and Janine purchased Mr. Bill G with their personal funds, and he raced for a period of time before transitioning into his new career as the Pacing For The Cure Ambassador. Now competing in Dressage, Mr. Bill G continues to draw attention with his large size and majestic presence. A friendly Standardbred who loves people and children, he plays a vital role in spreading awareness about the debilitating chronic diseases Pacing For The Cure supports. Throughout the year, he will attend horse shows to help promote the organization’s mission.
