Pacing For The Cure is a 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to help those living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) obtain financial assistance for medical equipment and services to manage this debilitating disease of the central nervous system as well as fund cutting edge MS research.
Jeff and Janine Gesek co-founded Pacing For The Cure in the Spring of 2016 and the idea to start a nonprofit was spurred by an encounter with a yearling pacer named Mr. Bill G.
Jeff’s keen eye caught Hip #765 in the Harrisburg sale Black Book 2015 and they decided to place a bid on him in November 2015. This pacer is the namesake of Jeff’s Father, Mr. William Gesek, who was a Harness racing fan and owner for many years and lived with Multiple Sclerosis for over 30 years. He recently passed away from this life in October 2017.
Jeff and Janine purchased Mr. Bill G with funds from their own personal account and he is now racing and anticipated to help Pace for a Cure with a portion of his earnings going directly to the charity.
